James has been Chair of Eton End Governors since 2012 and also sits on the Finance, Personnel and Resources Committee. He was educated at Campbell College, Belfast before working for many years as Purchasing Director for Allied Mills. He has been a member of the Baltic Exchange since 1971 and was Executive Director of a trade association until his retirement in 2020. He is involved in several charities and societies locally including being Local Chairman of Macmillan Cancer Support, Chairman of Windsor and Eton Choral Society 2007-2019, Governor of St Peter’s School, Windsor 1983-2015 and a member of the Windsor Festival Development Committee 2005-2012. He is married with two sons and two daughters, who were educated at Eton End.

Allan has been a Governor of Eton End since 2012 and is now Joint Deputy Chair. He also sits on the Finance, Personnel and Resources Committee and is Chair of the Health, Safety, Buildings & Premises Committee. He has a degree in Creative Photography and worked briefly as an advertising photographer before moving to Bray Studios as Assistant Manager and Producer of television commercials. He later moved to Pinewood Studios as Assistant Producer to Gerry Anderson with responsibilities for Film Finance. This work led him to set up a Financial Consultancy Partnership in the City which he ran for 20 years. He now sits as a Family Magistrate. Both of Allan’s sons were pupils at Eton End.

Nicky sits on the Finance, Personnel and Resources Committee and is also the Governor with responsibility for safeguarding. She studied Japanese at Cambridge, which led to a career in Finance, briefly in Tokyo but predominantly in the City, including roles in Marketing and Strategy for the London Stock Exchange. Her extensive experience as a magistrate, in both the Criminal and Family Courts, informs her safeguarding role for the school. Nicky is proud to continue her lifelong connection with the school, which was founded by her great aunt and which both she and her two sisters attended.

Leonora Martin

Leonora sits on both the Education (Academic and Pastoral) and the Communications and Development Committees. She is Director of Studies at Heywood Prep, Corsham, currently overseeing the roll-out of the school’s digital 1:1 strategy and further development of enquiry-based learning throughout the school. Leonora is a passionate advocator of equipping children with the crucial skills, knowledge and character education required for their 21st century futures and has been instrumental at Heywood in developing their innovative individualised approach to learning. Prior to teaching, Leonora worked for the Paintings Department of The Royal Collection before moving to Wiltshire as curator of the collection at Corsham Court.  She latterly ran her own Fine Art Agency, representing young British artists before completing her PGCE in 2011. Leonora spent 3 happy years as a pupil at Eton End before continuing her education at St Leonard’s School, St Andrews and at Stowe School. Leonora returned to St Andrews to attend the university completing an MA degree in History of Art.

Faye is the Chair of the Communications and Development Committee. She is Head of Marketing at Seiko UK, looking after Seiko, Grand Seiko, Lorus watches and Seiko clocks communications.  Prior to her current role, she held a number of senior marketing positions both within the Watch & Jewellery Industry - Signet (H.Samuel and Ernest Jones) and The Jewellery Channel – as well as with Retail brands including Kingfisher and Homebase.  A modern-languages graduate, Faye also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing along with a post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from The University of Oxford.

Mark is the Chair of the Education (Academic and Pastoral) Committee. He is Deputy Head Academic at Pangbourne College (co-ed 11-18 boarding school) having worked there since 2014 in a variety of roles, including Director of Studies, Head of Assessment and Head of Economics. His teaching career has focussed on Business and Economics but he also has a keen interest in languages, with a BSc in Management Science and French and an MSc in Business and International Relations. He has spent a year in Montreal and 8 months in China. He is married with twin 8 year old daughters.

James Stanforth joined Eton End's Governing body in 2015 and sits on the Education (Academic and Pastoral) Committee. He is a proud parent of one former and one current pupil. James has taught at Eton College since 2006, Initially, he joined as a French master and subsequently became Head of Computer Science. In his current role as Director of Digital Education, he oversees the strategic integration of technology in teaching and learning across all departments at Eton. In addition, James leads EtonX in its provision of online courses aimed at 13-18 year olds covering leadership skills, university preparation, career education, and academic curriculum content. The main focus of EtonX is outreach and partnership with free access provided to the UK state sector. 

Sandeep Mohan

Sandeep Mohan sits on the Finance Committee. He is a proud parent of 2 current pupils who have enjoyed all that Eton End offers since joining Nursery. Sandeep is a qualified accountant with over 24 years’ experience in working in a professional services environment. In his current role, Sandeep is a Director within the Business Services and Outsourcing team at BDO LLP and responsible for overseeing the strategic and governance policies at a global level. In addition to qualifying as an accountant, Sandeep also holds a MBA from a leading business school and has a keen interest in mentoring young people as they start their journey into the working world. Outside work, Sandeep is a keen sportsman, entrepreneur and charity worker with a dedicated approach to help others achieve their potential and for society to grow as one.

Sophie Harle

Sophie Harle has an MA in Social and Political Sciences from St John’s College, Cambridge as well as an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the Independent Schools Bursar’s Association. Sophie joined Wycombe Abbey in April 2022 and leads the School’s HR function with a focus on planning and implementing the people strategy in line with Wycombe Abbey’s values and strategic direction. Sophie previously worked as Director of Human Resources at Tanglin Trust School in Singapore.
